jQuery: Check All of the Checkboxes

This will check all of the checkboxes inside of an element (div,span,table) with a class of outerClassName
$(".outerClassName :checkbox").attr('checked', true);
Tip: you must have the jQuery library referenced before using this line of code.

There are so many completely idiotic comments on YouTube that it makes all comments and discussion pointless. Is there nothing that can be done? Someone must stop all of 12 year old boys!
